I've got a script in /etc/ppp/ip-up.d to run fetchmail on connect, but it doesn't appear to be run - running `ps aux | grep fetchmail' just after connecting shows nothing. I think the permissions are correct - I'm in group dip, and the permissions are:
[root%letdown /etc/ppp] # ls -l ip-up ip-up.d -rwxr-xr-x 1 root dip 1452 Jun 13 22:53 ip-up ip-up.d: total 5 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root dip 84 Nov 7 1998 exim -rwxr-xr-x 1 root dip 62 Jun 10 08:46 fetchmail -rwxr-xr-x 1 root dip 792 Jan 15 12:15 isdnutils -rwxr-xr-x 1 root dip 567 Oct 8 1998 slrn -rwxr-xr-x 1 root dip 12 Jun 10 14:23 wibble The /etc/ppp/ip-up.d/fetchmail file is just: /usr/bin/fetchmail --invisible --fetchmailrc /etc/fetchmailrc Also, I connect several times during a session: is there a way to start fetchmail from ip-up only if it's not running already?
