I had this problem on several occasions. I had to manually edit the file /etc/php3/apache/php3.ini and uncomment the line that says:
extension=mysql.so Then you should be ok ... this is with slink. If you are using potato versions of apache/php3/mysql then the builds may indeed be broken. Not sure on that one. Fraser
