Please help with these dselect questions:

I just installed Slink yesterday. Today I wanted to grab some stuff
off of the unstable branch (latest WindowMaker, etc.).
I set dselect to update from the unstable branch. When I went to
select packages, I also chose the latest GNOME. This caused a glibc
version confilct, and all hell broke loose. I told dselect to update my
glibc. Now every package is selected as "remove", rather than upgrade.

My questions:

!) since this happned every time I go into dselect, it has all packages
selected for "remove". Stiff like "bash" and "netbase". What needs
to be done for an update to glibc 2.1?

2) How do I get dselect to forget my selection of "gnome". so that if
were to start up dselect, gnome would not be selected, and the
packages
set to the way they were before?

Thanks in advance,
        Bryan
