Hi Paul: I'm a newbie also and as I recall I used the rescue floppy to install kernel and modules. Could be all wet tho as I'm still trying to get x windows up and trying to get a game to work. ( I dont think config liked my answers for my card and unless I missed my guess thats what I need for both the games and x, back to hunting in the man's) Dean
