I have just installed Debian 2.1 from an "official" cd and had problems. 1. The file "README.multicd" says that when you use dselect, you should use disk 2 first. Unfortunately, dselect refuses this order. This left me with a guess as to how to install. I ran the first disk through Configure and then went through the whole thing again with the second disk. I suspect that this was not correct.
2. XF86Setup was not part of my installation process, as it was when I installed Debian 2.0. I had to install it separately after I logged in. My guess is that this too was wrong. 3. When I downloaded Netscape Communicator, using both the stable and unstable versions, the colors were unstable. This made it impossible to download WordPerfect from Corel because I could not read parts of their web site. Is their a place on the CD where there are correct installation instructions? _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
