I reinstalled the Debian packages and then recompiled my kernel, but I have a problem. When I start the machine, I don't get the usual command line and instead the machine goes right into X (I believe this is called "xdm")
My .xinitrc is unchanged, so I don't know why this is happening. How can I fix it so that "startx" gets me into KDE and not this thing? thanks -- Andrew [PGP5.0 Key ID 0x5EE61C37]
