I've got a Hauppauge WinTV card now working under Debian with kernel 2.2.1. I can't give details now because I'm at work (different machine). The trick was to get the correct hardware addressing so both sound and video would work. I got the correct settings from an old archived email on this list. I compiled the kernel with the appropriate video4linux support for my card, and then I custom compiled a recent version of xawtv. The Debian package appears to be broken. Anyway, using xawtv, I can watch TV in a window. It works. It's cool. No more need to reboot to Windows since I've decided to stop using Quicken. Thanks.
