I've just upgraded to KDE 1.1 and have a couple of questions. I should
probably ask on the KDE mailing lists, but I'll try here first.
1) I'm having trouble modifying X resources using xrdb. In my .xsession
file I do:
if [ -f ~/.Xdefaults ]; then
xrdb -merge ~/.Xdefaults
fi
before I start KDE but these resources don't seem to be read when KDE
starts. If I do xrdb -merge ... manually the resources are loaded.
2) kdm has a way to select the windowing environment and it seems that it
should remember the user's last session, but it isn't for me. It comes up
defaulted to fvwm2, I change it to kde and kde starts normally. But the
next time I login its back to fvwm2 again.
