Hello all, I'm running on a Toshiba Satellite Pro 400CDT with slink installed. I'm having a problem with my X apps; at first I thought it was KDE, now that I have also used TWM, FVWM, FVWM2 and FVWM95, I'm not so sure.
The problem is that whenever I start an app, the window that is created is often too big for the screen - so I lose the right and bottom portion of the window. If I do a maximize (and often restore then maximize) the window displays fine, but this is annoying to have to do to every window every time - and often multiple times per window. The problem shouldn't be because of my virtual screen size - my resolution and virtual screen size are both 640x480; evidently X was really written for bigger and more advanced monitors. Can anyone point me to documentation or tips on how to fix these windows so I don't have to resize them all the time? Would GREATLY appreciate it. -Jay
