A significent number of people would say that RedHat is 'easier' to install then Debian, but after the install, Debian is better. Debian has what I believe to be a better package management system (dselect/apt/dpkg) than RedHat, but the bottom line is it comes down to your preference. Why not get RedHat and Debian 2.0 on CD and try *both* of them and use the one you like better. You can get very inexpensive CD's of both from places like http://www.cheapbytes.com. -- Ed C.
