I have partially configured nis on a Debian 2.0 machine using
ii nis 3.2.1-3 Clients and daemons for the Network Informat
the nis servers are:
HP-UX crac B.10.01 A 9000/715 (ttyp1) -> no problem
IRIX64 bugs 6.4 11191505 IP27 -> the following problem:
cleared entry for domain di: server 0.0.0.0, port 0
parsing config file
Trying entry: domain di server crac.eleinf.uv.es
parsed domain di server crac.eleinf.uv.es
bindto_server: domain di, host crac.eleinf.uv.es
add_server() domain: di, host: crac.eleinf.uv.es, nobroadcast, slot: 0
updated entry for domain di: server 147.156.17.2, port 670
Trying entry: domain di server bugs.eleinf.uv.es
parsed domain di server bugs.eleinf.uv.es
bindto_server: domain di, host bugs.eleinf.uv.es
clnt_create for server bugs.eleinf.uv.es failed <- LOOK HERE
my /etc/yp.conf is as follows:
domain di server crac.eleinf.uv.es
domain di server bugs.eleinf.uv.es
I did not found any similar problem in the bugtrack and I have no idea
what's the problem other machines are working ok (redhat based, I do not
administer them...)
any comment/suggestion/etc.. will be greatly appreciated
