Dear Debian users, Recently I bought a Initio PCI-9100U SCSI adapter and a JUMBO 640 MO (megnetic optics). Now I am using the Debian-2.0 but upgrade my kernel to 2.2.0-pre5, and also upgrade several packages like kernel modules, procps, util-linux, .... to the needed version as the "Changes" file of kernel source mentioned. I compile the Initio 9100U driver in the kernel as a module and load it, it seems correctly. But when I try the
fdisk /dev/sda It get segmentataion fault! But when I run mke2fs /dev/sda it seems ok to do that (no error or warnning messages appears). But when I try mount -t ext2 /dev/sda /mnt it gives the error message: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda, or too many mounted file systems and I also cannot get the MO disk out of the machine unless I reboot the system. However, the command e2fsck /dev/sda seems correctly: e2fsck 1.10, 24-Apr-97 for EXT2 FS 0.5b, 95/08/09 /dev/sda: clean, 11/155648 files, 19926/620704 blocks My dmesg list is as follows: Linux version 2.2.0-pre5 ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 2.7.2.3) #1 Sat Jan 9 00:37:1 5 CST 1999 Detected 133637548 Hz processor.
