Compiling Netscape with LessTif?

I vaguely recall some-one talking about compiling Netscape with
lesstif, saving a lot of memory. Is this possible, and how would it be 
done. I searched in the debian-user archives, but all I found were
some generic advice on compiling with lesstif.
