if you are a master browser and browse.dat doesn't show the whole domain, your setup is broken (or your samba is not yet running the magic 45 minutes it can take till a master browser is updated). Usually you can do "smbclient -L <netbios name of any masterbrowser>" to get a list of all hosts in your domain.
