Thanks! I got a 3Com905B for the Linux server, drivers
seems to work (no second box for testing yet). However,
the other machine is an ATX NT/Linux dual boot, and I
might switch several times daily, so I decided to heed
the warning.
I consider an IBM EtherExpress Pro 100, but I saw a
forward posting mentioning driver problems. I would
like to get my hands on a DEC tulip 21140 board, but
they don't seem too common (here in Ireland). Any
recommendations, particular boards? The HOWTO/docs
mention an SMC 100Mbs EtherPower PCI, is this known
to work?
