Hi list,

I hope this isn't a stupid question (I've been a bit busy to follow this
increasingly busy list closely lately), but my C++ seems to be broken
:(

I don't know how or why, but when I try and run a ./configure script for
a few different programs, it tells me c++ cannot create executables.

I've got a hamm system, with a few bits and pieces from other places. I
don't remember doing anything to gcc (or egcs, or whatever we use these
days). I'm not a programmer myself, so beyond ./configure; make; make
install, I'm a little out of my depth.

Any sugestions?

Cheers,

damon

(PS, cc's of list responses are most welcome!)
