It's a single program; there aren't packages.  And it has it's own 
yuckky windows-like "desktop", and is confined to a single windows.  
Overall, they've done a pretty good job of mimicking the lousy msoft 
interface :)

No.  64M is barely adequate :)

it takes the better part of a minute (i think' it's long enough that i 
find something else to do) just to load on a K6/200 w. 64M.  It's not 
a really bad slug after you load, just a mild one.

Supposedly.  But so does WP8 :)  The only use I have for starwriter now 
is that I haven't customized the styles for my resume in lyx yet.  Once 
I do, i won't have much use for staroffice.
