Well, for me, any Microsoft application has an equivalent that I am
happy to use under Linux. That is, anything that would require a MS
app, I can accomplish under Linux.
I would assume a lot of people, though, at least want MS
_compatability_ moreso than the actual application. For example, my
dad uses MS apps at his job, because of some upper management
decision. I've told him so much about Linux, that he really wants to
learn and use it, but it has no real practical value for him since all
the work he does on his PC is related to files created with MS
applications.
