Having trouble getting samba to accept my password from a windows station. In smb.conf: workgroup = hogue (same as on my windows machine). Set samba password (general and per user) correctly using smbpasswd.
When I go to map a network drive to the samba machine in windows, I use \\brian\usr. It then asks for my password. No matter what password I type (root password or the samba password I setup) it tells me it can't connect. I'm running debian linux, 2.0.34. Am I forgetting something? I've been able to do this in the past, but am having trouble with it now. I want to assign a network drive to one of my debian partitions. Any help would be great.
