Just realized that I think I said sendmail instead of smail for what I was currently using, but that doesn't change anything.
[continuation of my exim header rewrite thought] Boredom while waiting on a slow server made me try installing exim again. Elm said "mailer returned error status 1" but I didn't get the error in /var/spool/exim like I thought I did last time. Still, no mail sent. I was thinking if there was some way to match the name that I could perform a second lookup and just use the normal rewrite stuff. That's not looking too hopeful yet, though. (a predefined variable would be nice) I suppose maybe I should try the exim list sometime if I ever get really desperate. Life goes on. Smail sends out mail. I'm happy. Chris
