I am trying to install Linux 2.0.34 on my IBM 385XD thinkpad. I have tried using various different versions of the boot disk, but each one doesn't work. I know that the boot disks do work in some environments, because I have been able to install Linux succesfully on a desktop. The "error" that I get is: A20 gate handling error, then my computer freezes. when I use other versions of the boot disk, my computer just restarts, and puts me back at the installation screen where I was before.
