pt_BR or br_BR locales in Xlib

Hi,

        I have my locale set to pt_BR in profile. 
        After upgrading to the new xlib6g, netscape is giving me this
message:
netscape: locale `pt_BR' not supported by Xlib; trying `C'

        Looking at the locale directory, I found that the locale.alias
file list pt_BR as:
pt_BR                   pt_BR.ISO8859-1
        Can I edit the locale.dir and/or compose.dir to insert the
appropriated lines in them?
        Some other hint?
