ProFTP doesn't need a lib or bin directory, which is truly cool. I recommend that you install the version from slink (as it is far more configurable - many new and cool options) and read the man page thoroughly. Some of the defaults aren't really what you'd expect (unless you're REALLY, REALLY paranoid).
