I've seen quite a bit going on in this thread. First off, however, you said you had Win95 installed, so why don't you use it to split the file up? Since gzip and tar are fairly forgiving of such things, you should be able to split the file into a few separate pieces and ungzip and untar one piece at a time. If you need a util to do that, I'll be glad to write you one. Just let me know. \/\/ood/\/\age
