Dear Debs,
I have an ISDN card which is supported and recognized by the kernel/modules. As a first try, i'd like to start Seyon and connect to a server at my institute which provides a text-only connection, which I am already using under DOS (with the communication program Reflection). I have read the ponderous documentation about ISDN, but did not configure any of the device.ippp0, ipppd.ippp0, etc. files in /etc/isdn. As a first step, I'd like to know how to deal with /dev/ttyI0, i.e., the argument to be passed to seyon. If I start seyon with -modems /dev/ttyI0, I get an error: is this because nothing concerning ISDN is configured or because I have to "do something" with /dev/ttyI0? The man page for ttyI0 (or ttys0) does not say what to do with these "objects". If anybody is using ISDN for a similar purpose, I'd appreciate to receive information about the /etc/isdn files as well (maybe the listing of them all: I'll try to understand what they do). Thank you.
