After installing 2.0 clean onto my PC, attempts to start up any window manager fails, as does just trying to start an xterm.

XF86Setup seems to go OK, though it may have been done as root, but I'm trying to start my windows as under my userid. I'm not trying to run xdm, just doing a startx.
