hi all, so i'm back home for the holidays, and unfortunately sitting at a windows 98 machine. now lately i've really gotten used to x-forwarding certain applications off of a central server (like my licq/aim programs for example), and would like to do so here as well. in the past i've used xwin32, which does exactly what i want, but for me to continue using it would raise not only moral but also legal implications...
i've looked at cygwin, and i haven't been able to get it to work in the same way--it wants to open its own x-session in a separate window, and then x applications show up in there, whereas i want them to show up on the desktop like any other app. does anyone have any experience, ideas, or recommendations about this? thanks, sean
