I'm trying to get my dial-up linux box to read and post news smoothly but unfortunately that's not happening at the moment. I can read news just fine. Posting, however, is a different matter. When I try to post an article or a follow-up using slrn I get the following messages in the status line, "Article rejected: 441 Can't' generate Message-ID, No such file or directory." If I try to repost it works fine. Can anyone help me to understand what's going on and how I can fix this problem. I've included a few relevant (I hope) lines from my syslog below. Thanks.
