i had a lot of trouble with mine at first also... so i ran the dos-based eeprom setup program for it. i used that to change the card's software settings to the irq and base-i/o i wanted.. after that, i finished installing it in my sleep. you can get the program from intel's ftp site, but if you still have trouble finding it, let me know and i will send you my copy.
