This question is from Kent, not Shao. So, can I understand this to mean that lprng is a newer/better version of lpr? When I tried the above command as a normal user, I got the following: dpkg: `ldconfig' not found on PATH. dpkg: `start-stop-deamon' not found on PATH. dpkg: `install-info' not found on PATH. dpkg: `update-rc.d' not found on PATH. dpkg: 4 expected program(s) not found on PATH. NB: root's PATH should usually contain /usr/local/sbin, /usr/sbin and /sbin. So I figured the problem was that I wasn't logged in as root. So I su'd, and tried the command again. This time I got: dpkg: --install needs at least one package archive file argument and then some help information. I double-checked the command and I had the syntax the way you specified. Do I have something wrong with my setup? Thanks.
