I'm sending you my XF86Config file. I have the same computer running at 16bpp. I used the DefaultColorDisplay 16 flag in the config file to set things at 16bpp. You can't use acceleration in 16bpp as far as I know because the thinkpad 760xl has only 1m video memory. HTH - John Kloss
