I read in the Debian User archive that you were or are having the same problem that I am having. I upgraded to Debian 2.0 and when I try and get the packages to upgrade it says the following for every file.
getting: dists/stable/main/binary-i386/editors/nvi_1.79-5.deb (199078) dists/stable/main/binary-i386/editors/nvi_1.79-5.deb: No such file or directory.
