Hi...recently installed a commercial package called Partition Magic which contains IBM's Boot Manager, and currently installing Debian. I can't seem to get the boot manager to recoginze the linux partition as bootable. Some particulars: Micronics motherboard w/60mz pentium, Conner Peripherals CFS541A hd, DOS/WIN3.11 on one partition, Debian on a logical partition. Debian boots fine from a floppy, and the boot manager seems to work ok, but it returns message "selected partition not formatted" when I choose to boot the linux partition. I have gone through installation several times, changing what I do to try to fix it (make linux bootable from hd, or only from floppy, etc). Any suggestions?
