I'm having two problems with a new hamm (beta) installation -- I think they're unrelated, but I may be wrong.
First of all, I can't get the local network working using PCI ne2000 clone card. Is there some interaction with the anti-spoofing provisions in /etc/init.d/netbase? Or is the sl0 device set up by diald interfering? The second problem is with diald. Version numbers, kernel and hardware configuration, etc., available on request. (I'm actually quite embarrassed to be asking this here -- I expected that my 7th or so Debian install should be troublefree, or require at the most a couple of visits to the documentation.
