Hello, Well, I left my hamm system half set up when other things distracted me. I had cron running, but no functional MTA fully installed.
I was thus plesantly surprised that cron actually managed to get an email message to me once it executed a scheduled command for me. Question is: Does cron know how to deal with MX records or did it just invoke my half-installed sendmail 8.9 and it found a backup mail server for my box? Just curious...
