Sasha, What kind of video card do you have? I had the same problem with no display and having to reboot. I have a Trident 9680 card and, thanks to George Bonser, had to change the setup ins X11Setup. In the card selection, I had to set the "options" to noaccel to get my system to work. Don't ask me why, but it is working fine after I made that one change.
