Any package which depends on elf-x11r6lib is buggy -- if there is no bug report filed already, you should file one (see http://www.debian.org/Bugs/). There probably is though, I filed a bunch of them a few months back and others may have done the same. I suspect that xlib6 or a predecessor of it would have provided elf-x11r6lib when it was a current virtual package. It isn't now though, so xlib6/xlib6g don't provide it.
