The ghostscript author was contracted to produce Display PostScript support for gnustep (see http://www.gnustep.org/GoodNews/GeneralNews.html); the "dgs" package in hamm is Display Ghostscript; it is explicitly marked as "a developer release. Don't use it for production.".
