I've got xemacs installed on my stable Debian 1.3.1, and it works just fine, but I want to use emacs for file viewing and manipulation in a normal console because I don't like vi. I tried to install emacs in dselect but it tells me I have to take components of xemacs out, because they conflict. Is this a small conflict that would be OK to force using dpkg, or do I have to choose between them?
