I have used a lot of ne cards but have yet to see one with io=ff80. The usual values are 280-360. If you are using w95 to get these values look again and see if there is not something in that range. > 2- I don't unsderstand how dpkg works and how to start it. > It is supposed to be simple so I really think I missed something. No. Linux users are given credit for both knowledge and brains so you must make the effort to get the figures. Either from a manual or sometimes the frequencies are on the back of the monitor. A cheap monitor should be able to do 30-38 Khz horizontal and 50-80 Hz vertical so you will not hurt anything if you specify these in the meantime, though the result be be a lot of flicker. > > Thank you for your help, > I know theses are many questions, =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Lindsay Allen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Perth, Western Australia voice +61 8 9316 2486 32.0125S 115.8445E vk6lj Debian Unix =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
