Hi, The problem is that someone has installed a /vmlinuz. Being just a program, the debian kernel image package postinst assumes that the sysadmin knows better, and does nothing. If you want the new kernel, # cd / # mv vmlinuz vmlinuz.save # ln -s boot/vmlinuz-2.0.32 vmlinuz
and Re run lilo or whatever you use to boot the machine. (remove vmlinuz.save when you feel satisfied).
