hey i am trying to get this fixed freq monitor to work under X... i have
created a few modelines and X starts and i "see" it but is scrolling...
like a tv you know... the vhold... i am messed with the vertical sync
pulses but i am getting no where... there is no diff. that i see in the
scrolling... the images os off center too, but i am seeing results when i
mess with the horz. pulses... i have attached the info i have as well as
the XF86Config that i have been working with, and the output from starting
X.
i have mainly used the VideoMode.doc from /lib/X11/doc/. but i have also
been looking at a ton of web pages for additional info... there is also a
file called Modeline which is kinda a summary of VideoModes.doc... i used
it when i was starting but had to mainly use VideoModes.doc in the end.
here is the tricky thing... i have to stick w/ a refresh rate of 77hz
because thats what the monitor needs... and a horz. freq. of 101.68 khz
so i have to adjust all calculations to work around that... the s3 has a
max dot clock of 170mhz but i do not know what the max bw of the monitor
is... it supports 1600x1280 so i am thinking it can do something like
175-185mhz... prolly says like 150-160mhz in the manual (which did not
come with the thing!). anyhow its a 21" hi res workstation monitor, so i
am sure it can handle what ever dot clock the s3 gives...
well i suppose thats all i know... if you can point out any mistakes i
have made or tell me where to make adjustments please do.. thanks

This item is new
This 21" FST screen allows a viewing area of 370mm x 296mm. This
enables two A4 pages to be displayed with less than 7% reduction in
overall size, and with a 13% overlap making full page editing a snap.
This monitor also features a non interlaced 77Hz refresh rate. The
large viewing screen and high resolution improves productivity by
providing a crisp clear image for precision imaging. The stable,
