This is just a guess, but have you forgotten to run lilo before you copied the bootsector? Make sure you "/etc/lilo.conf" have the boot-entry to /dev/hda6. It should probably look something like this: ------------------------------------------------------------ boot=/dev/hda6 root=/dev/hda6 compact install=/boot/boot.b map=/boot/map vga=normal delay=20 image=/vmlinuz label=Linux read-only ----------------------------------------------------------- then run "lilo" and copy the bootsector with "dd if=/dev/hda6 of=bootsect.lnx bs=512 count=1" Don't forget to copy "bootsect.lnx" to the NT-"C:\"-partition.
