Yes, several times. Use the 'rpm.deb' package. I know that I have installed it 'just by copying' but the last time that I tried that applixware had some problems with 'license files' (somewhere in /etc) and it was just not worth the trouble (to me) to spend anytime trying to figure it out when debian's rpm does the installation.
