Yes it is possible. I remember reading this and my setup. I looked to try to see where this behavior is specified and could't, though I know I've seen it before *sigh*. Places to look (that I remember right now) where I may have missed something relating to it are /etc/ppp/options (and perhaps other files in /etc/ppp) and /usr/bin/pon. I though attack dialing was a new feature of pppd itself, but this seems like a strange idea to me now. Helpful huh? > Systgem: I'm running Debian 1.3.1 on a 486dx2/66 16 MB RAM 16550 serial > ports and an external USR 33.6 voice fax modem (that HAS been repaired > by the factory). SCSI disks, trident SVGA and a KFC monitor. When did you have it repaired? I had one with the 'pausing' problem, sent it to them, and got is back completely and utterly broken. > --David > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > LINUX: the FREE 32 bit OS for [3456]86 PC's available NOW! > David B Teague | Ask me how user interface copyrights & software > [EMAIL PROTECTED] | patents make programing a dangerous business. > > spy counter-intelligence wild porno sex gold bullion Soviet Bosnia > ammonium nitrate fuel oil cocaine assassinate counterfeit destabilize > > > > -- > TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] . > Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . > > -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
