When I try to dial my ISP, I get the following errors in my /var/log/ppp.log

Dec 29 18:59:11 speedy pppd[248]: Using interface ppp0 Dec 29 18:59:11 speedy pppd[248]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS0 Dec 29 18:59:14 speedy pppd[248]: Serial line is looped back. Dec 29 18:59:14 speedy pppd[248]: Connection terminated. Dec 29 18:59:14 speedy pppd[248]: Exit. Does anyone know what this means?
