Hi! I'm trying to set up an inbound ppp connection, but to no avail.
I have the modem in ttyS2, the machine is named bbs, and these are my config files that I've changed: ===options.ttyS2=== #.201 is the serial line and .27 is the host 147.83.61.201:147.83.61.27 === ===options=== (which are set) dns-addr 147.83.61.17 dns-addr 147.83.2.3 asyncmap 0 crtscts lock modem netmask 255.255.255.0 domain upc.es proxyarp lcp-echo-interval 30 lcp-echo-failure 4 === ===pap-secrets=== # INBOUND connections # Every regular user can use PPP and has to use passwords from /etc/passwd * * "" === ===mgetty/login.config=== i've taken out the auth until I get ppp working /AutoPPP/ - - /usr/sbin/pppd === ===inittab=== s2:23:respawn:/sbin/mgetty -D ttyS2 === And now, my problem. Set this way, my w95 machine gets the hosts IP address (.27). Obviously, this doesn't work very well. If I switch the numbers in options.ttyS2, W95 gets the right number, but then the route tables are badly formed.
