I am sorry for Danny. However, it is consistent with the "Hardware Compatibility Howto" that lists the equipment that is known to work or not to work with Linux. The CDR400T is listed in the table of CDR's known NOT to work. There seems to be some flaw in the CDR400 that is not present in the other Yamaha CDR's. If I consider buying equipment like a CDR or a page scanner, I always consult the"Hardware Compatibility Howto" to prevent unpleasant surprise like Danny has got.
