Hi, i am the maintainer of gs-aladdin. I understand that a libc5 version of gs-aladdin 5.03 is urgently required. Unfortulnately it is quite difficult (at least for me) to produce it working on a libc6 system. This week-end i went home and installed Debian 1.3 on my old computer, so i was able to obtain a libc5 gs-aladdin 5.03! (I'll upload it this night). I am sorry for the delay of my answer, but i did not read the mail since Friday. Hopefully the new version will solve your problems...
