You might like to look at Donald Becker's page of information (including newer drivers) about the 3Com vortex cards: http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html There has been varying amounts of success with the 3c905 card reported on the vortex mailing list. Unfortunately, there's at least one of these cards (i.e. mine) which really doesn't want to work under linux.
